About Vertjanova

Anastassia is an instinctual, immersive, constructivist-inspired director, with emphasis on stories of hope through darkness. Being a theatrical technician and scenic artist allow her to more strongly engage in physical and design-based storytelling. Theatre at its core is a shared experience, and she strives to balance manufactured magic with messy spontaneity.

Her work has been seen in various Philadelphia local festivals such as the Fringe Festival, Philadelphia Women's Theatre Festival, and Rabbit Punch Festival. She graduated from the University of the Arts with honors and studied at the Moscow Art Theatre through the National Theatre Institute.
